In 1995, after more than a season away from basketball, Jordan chose to make a comeback. Since his No. 23 jersey had already been sealed when he announced his retirement, Jordan had to choose the No. 45 jersey his brother had worn in a hurry, but the results were not as good as he had hoped.
In the playoffs, he was even taunted by Nick Anderson of the Magic that "No. 45 Jordan was not as strong as No. 23 Jordan", and then Jordan took off the sealed No. 23 jersey in a fit of rage and brought the Bulls their second three-peat, adding more legendary color to the number.
