This is called the world's longest handmade bridge is located in Cambodia's Mekong River, the entire bridge is 1005 meters long, and the materials used is also let us look very surprised, the bridge is made of nearly 50,000 bamboo, of course, this handmade bridge is also has a certain history, and this bridge is also the world's longest bridge toll time

About 500 years ago, a group of Cham people fleeing from Vietnam came to Kampong Cham town in the middle of the Mekong River in Cambodia. Because of the difference between the Cham's language and language and the Khmer people in Cambodia, the Cham people were widely rejected and had to live on Koen Island in the Mekong River, fishing for generations to maintain their livelihood.

But over time, the two peoples slowly began to accept each other, but also slowly began to get used to the pleasures of racial differences, because the different racial habits can bring the other race to learn from and influence the way of life, the two peoples gradually came together, an alliance. In the years that followed, they were happy and harmonious.

However, the problems that arose, so that the two peoples could not find a solution for a while, the annual flood season, the Mekong River water level is very high, will affect the normal travel of people, and even to buy some of the necessities of life also became difficult, after months of discussion between the two peoples and the development of the program, finally decided to build a bridge over the Mekong River

But due to the limited funds at that time, they could only build manual bridges so that people could walk on them and trade, so they found more than 50,000 bamboos and carried out long years of construction on the Mekong River, and finally the bridge was completed and people could walk on it, which was much more convenient

But the Mekong River is not vegetarian, often the bridge can be washed over or even broken, people came up with a very brilliant way, they improved their construction techniques, the bamboo into a bridge can be installed can be dismantled, a ten-year-old child can carry out simple operation, every year from March to September, the bridge will appear in the Mekong River above

Today, the local government has built up a concrete bridge over the Mekong River, but people have developed a strong affection for it due to the long years of using the handmade bridge and have kept the handmade bridge, while the locals have also set up voluntary crossing fees at the bridge in order to have more money for bridge maintenance, and it is said that the place can collect 2 million riel of crossing fees a day.
