The world's most powerful canal: 60 kilometers in length, costing $1 billion to dig

Throughout history, canals have been an important project for inter-regional or inter-water water transportation. In addition to transportation, canals are also used for irrigation, water drainage and water supply. There are many famous man-made canals in the world, and the most powerful one is the Savar Canal, which is 60 km long and cost 1 billion dollars to dig. It is located between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The most powerful canal in the world

The Salwa Canal is located in the border area between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. This famous canal does not look very wide, about 200 meters, but is 60 kilometers long, with a maximum ship draft of 12 meters, and the whole project will cost $1 billion. The entire canal is in Saudi Arabia, and the part near Qatar will be declared a permanent military zone.

But the best thing about the Salwa Canal is not because of this, but its opening, which divided Qatar, which previously bordered Arabia, directly, making it a veritable island state. The opening of the Salva Canal has indeed brought full development to the Arab economy, while the soft power of the country has also been enhanced. Since the opening of the canal, another tourism industry has been added to Arabia, and the pleasant climate has made it an unparalleled tourist destination.

But this has seriously harmed Qatar's interests, which has lost its only land border and been reduced to an island state. This is unacceptable for a country. Although the Qatari government was not satisfied with the construction of the canal, it was not possible to build the canal on its own territory. This situation has also led to a gradual frosting of relations between the two countries.

It is understood that in the history of the world, there has not been such a situation, many international professionals believe that such a move by Saudi Arabia will undoubtedly deepen the crisis between the two countries. From the perspective of long-term interests, Arabia still has to put some effort to have a good chat with the State of Qatar ah!
