The world's largest extant reptile: the saltwater crocodile

The saltwater crocodile, also known as the bay crocodile, is native to the swamps and wetlands of Southeast Asia, but has gradually expanded to Australia and Papua New Guinea, becoming the top predator of the wetlands.
